I think this is probably one of those things that I say the most.
Perhaps it is the Catholic guilt in me.
Perhaps I have been brought up to think that it is always ‘me’ when things go wrong.
Sorry is not the hardest thing to say.
Forgiving is not the hardest thing to do.
But forgetting is almost impossible to attain.
People talk about letting go – forgive and forget.
Is it really possible?
Once the damage is done, the scar will always be there as a reminder of the hurt and pain.
And the memory lingers...

it's possible. It's possible to forget the intensity of the pain as time passes, but when you do, you're bound to get hurt by the same thing again. If, then, you choose to remember, it'll be an extra weight on you and only you because the person or the thing that hurt you sure won't remember it.
Forgetting is a matter of choice. Is is also the last step of forgiving. If you don't want to forget, or you think you can't, it means you haven't completely forgiven.
a memory remains a memory.
perhaps the hurt will fade with time but the memory remains unless you lose your memory.
forgetting is part of forgiving but how many of us can forget?
honestly...
perhaps thats why no one can forgive except God.
