A bit of shameless publicity for the event. Check them out!
Went to watch them at their practise after badminton yesterday.
So many memories of being part of it in my first year came flooding back.
I guess the Warwick Uni experience is incomplete if you are a Malaysian and you do not participate in Malaysian Nite. It was one whole month of practise from 7-10pm every weekday! Then having to try to do work during the weekend. I remember I got so tired from it, that all I wanted towards the end was just to get it over and done with. I find it hard having to commit myself to it every nite and because of it I could not do other stuffs with my non-Malaysian friends. I felt suffocated by it.
But I guess at the end of the day, I do feel proud to be part of it. I got to know many people from it. I realised I actually enjoyed being on stage. I love the adrenaline rush doing a dance and also doing dikir barat. Strangely I do miss it a little.
Looking forward to seeing all those younger ones on stage on Saturday. I feel so old being a third year and seeing all these energetic first years.
